English

Objective: Health tourism represents a significant sector with substantial potential for non-oil exports. In recent years, the global tourism industry has been transformed by cryptocurrencies, particularly blockchain-based digital currencies. This transformation highlights the need to investigate drivers for adopting this technology in Iran's health tourism sector, specifically in Isfahan Province as a key tourism destination.
Method: The study population comprised health tourism experts in Isfahan Province, identified through snowball sampling and purposively selected. The research employed thematic analysis and Fuzzy Interpretive Structural Modeling (FISM) to identify and model drivers.
Findings: Sixteen expert interviews revealed 45 drivers categorized into six themes: Organizational Awareness and Knowledge, Organizational Trust and Security, Managerial Innovative Attitudes, Organizational Resources, Economic and Business Factors, and Organizational Cultural and Social Factors. FISM results indicated that Organizational Awareness and Knowledge, Organizational Trust and Security, and Managerial Innovative Attitudes are independent factors, while others are dependent. The final model identified three key drivers: Organizational Awareness and Knowledge, Managerial Innovative Attitudes, and Organizational Cultural and Social Factors.
Conclusion: This study presents a comprehensive model of organizational drivers for blockchain adoption in Isfahan's health tourism sector. Key recommendations include conducting awareness sessions for stakeholders, collaborating with established blockchain platforms, ensuring transaction process transparency, training blockchain specialists, and managing cryptocurrency price volatility risks.
