Determining the Intensity of the Effective Factors on Creative Industries Development Using DEMATEL Method

Abstract

Today, we are on the threshold of the fourth industrial revolution, and the progresses made by various sciences have been mutually reinforcing each other. On the other hand, considering the concept of creativity and its cultural functions in combination with the mechanisms of business and economy, and the emergence of creative industries as the infrastructure of creative economy in the present era, has led to a revolution in the industries of the future. In recent years, the growing importance of the creative industries in the economies of the country is characterized by indicators such as the increase of these industries' portion in GDP and GNP. The purpose of this research is to create a better and deeper understanding of the factors affecting the creative industries, so that in the future, our country can contribute to economic reform and economic recovery by planning and investing on these factors. From this perspective, the present study is a meta-analysis approach to the few studies carried out in our country and extensive research carried out around the world. By using expert opinions and applying the DEMATEL method, the effect of factors influencing the development of creative industries in the future has been explained. In this research, two factors that have been very influential on the development of creative industries were identified; attention to human capital and cultural capital, and other factors were ranked next. At the end of this research, there are also suggestions and strategies to exploit and use these opportunities.
