Abstract

Today, due to intensified competitive environment, countries and firms do not rely only on limited resources or random data in decision making and adopting competitive strategies; therefore, organizations are trying to achieve the best sources of information about the business and utilizing them effectively in their strategic planning. Dashboard, a tool which is rich in indicators, reports and graphs acts dynamically and through it, managers can see the organization's performance at any moment and compare and evaluate its status with respect to short and long term perspectives. But for efficient data using, business intelligence logic is inescapable. Business Intelligence is a system in which different, dispersed and heterogeneous data of an organization is integrated and through the establishment of analytical database helps managers to make decisions. This study designs a model of organizational dashboard with business intelligence logic, and through Importance Performance analysis method evaluated the organizational dashboard development with business intelligence logic in SAPCO as a manufacturing company which can be a comprehensive road map for organizations to design and implement an organizational dashboard and business intelligence. The results show that due to strategic planning process, performance evaluation and procedures based on quality management system, also due to deployment of Oracle software, systems and software infrastructure are provided in this company but because of lower priority of business intelligence in SAPCO issues, dashboard development process with business intelligence logic was not considered as an organizational project with a high priority and more work is required.
