Abstract

This research, at the first, addresses the benefit of the narrative approach for the study of the complex world and proposes three principles for narrative characteristics, then, proposes a methodology composed of four phases that is based on multilevel thinking: identifying major actors, exploring anecdotes, three layered analysis and problem based narrating. This study suggests the use of the narrative approach to construct a multimethodology design and also develops a case study in the car industry in order to shed light on the applicability of the proposed methodology.
