Developing a Local Model of Organizational Culture for Cultural Organizations of Astan-e-Ghods-e-Razavi: A Qualitative Study

Abstract

Organizational Culture (OC) as one of the basics in coordinating and controlling organizational behavior has great importance. Domestic model of OC is a basic tool in managing OC of cultural-religious organizations. With attention to importance of creating domestic model and role of culture in cultural-religious organizations, this research develops a domestic model of OC for Astan-e-Ghods cultural institutions. This is a qualititative study regarding to its approach and purpose. Central question of research is: which factors is ideal for OC of Astan e Ghods cultural institutions. In first phase, with reviewing and analyzing (a) available models of OC, (b) 20 years vision of Astan e Ghods, and (c) general strategies of administrative system, prime modal is developed with 22 factors and 6 dimensions. In second phase, 14 deep interviews are done with cultural managers. In third phase, data is analyzed with inductive and deductive content analysis. Final model is developed with 24 revised factors in 5 dimensions. Statistical population is managers employed in Astan e Ghods cultural institutions and sampling method is snowball. In close section of article, we discuss about recommendations for cultural institutions and future researches. Final model proofs existing models have not universality for cultural institutions and 5 dimensions should be noticed in managing culture in these organizations: human development and munificence, consistency, adaptability and interactionism, mission, and communication.
