Abstract

Collaboration is embedded as nature of supply chain but researches have shown that lack of true collaboration among member of supply chain is a main reason of poor performance. The history of collaboration backs to early 90's when notable companies have invested on formation of supply chain collaboration (SCC). During last three decades the concept of SCC has received considerable attention due to its positive outcomes. Although reports have proved the usefulness of SCC for companies round the globe but Iranian companies have not done the same. One of the most competitive industries which plays an important role in the welfare and quality of life in the society is home appliances industry which shows a great potential to be improved in terms of performance. To have a precise understanding of the factors affecting SCC and successful implementation of the collaboration mechanisms, this study intends to develop a model for SCC in home appliance industry through the systematic literature review. With an emphasis on the positive change toward collaboration, the field force theory and contingency theory was utilized to develop the conceptual model for the SCC factors. Also, with an emphasis on the importance of implementing collaboration mechanisms, alongside with the discrete consensus support model was used to identify the weights of the most important factors in form of constituent factors and underlying factors. The result of this study simplifies the complex nature of SCC and also reveals which factors needed to be invested, in order to successfully implement SCC.
