Presenting a Model for Successing in the Iranian Defense Technomart

Abstract

Considering the importance of technology in the defense industry and its effects on the sovereignty and security of the country, technology acquisition in this industry, is of utmost importance. For this reason, Technology exchange between industry and defense organizations is an important issue, and the defense technomart is an important tool for technology acquisition in these firms. The population of this research includes key experts in the field of defense. The sampling method in this research is a census. For analyzing the research data, is used two softwares the LISREL and PLS when both are based on the structural equation modeling. In the meantime, the LISREL is used for the confirmation factor analysis, and the PLS is used to measure the relationship between independent and dependent variables, and extracting the basic strategies for success in the technomart. Based on content analysis of interviews with a group of defense experts, this result was obtained that the activities of the defense technomart in the country were not successful, and basically, the success of the defense technomart is affected by the supply-side factors, demandside factors, environmental factors (external) and internal mechanisms of the technomart. The results also indicated that culture and conversation-making, deepen and broaden the defense innovation, the defense interactions and diplomacy, knowledge and organizational learning, development of orgaware and informat dominance of the basic strategies for the technomart.
