Abstract

Since environmental dilemmas have become more complicated in the third millennium, organizations' survival has depended more on leadership skills and distinctive competencies. Global challenges, rapid changes of technology, complexities and social demographic varieties are some of Indicators of this century that managers are involved in them. Herein, psychologists believe that smart people can find their way better than others. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new construct of intelligence, Spiritual Intelligence (SQ), as a Transformational Tool for Organizational Leaders. This study empirically has investigated the relationship between SI Indicators and transformational leadership. In addition, the impact of demographic attributions on SI has been assessed. Two types of questionnaires distributed in a large Iranian petroleum organization. Descriptive and inferential statistical techniques such as are PLS method of structural equation models are used for analyzing the data. The results of the study show that there are a meaningful relationship between SQ and transformational leadership.
