Abstract
The present qualitative study aims to elaborate on the process of social responsibility in corporations through systematic grounded theory. In order to do so, several interviews were conducted with 30 corporate managers observing corporate social responsibility and a set of primary concepts were recollected via a coding process to extract various categories. Later on, in the pivotal coding stage, the connection between these categories were defined in a coding paradigm under titles like causal conditions, central phenomena, mutual action and interaction strategies, context, intervening conditions, and outcomes of observing corporate social responsibility. Then, in the stage of selective coding, each part of the paradigm was explained, the plot was designed and the theory was created. Finally, logical statements and strategic hypotheses of the study coming out of profound interviews, precise screening and authentic summarizing were compiled for future field studies.
