Abstract

Entrepreneurship on the ground of information and communication technologies has had broad applications in the many fields such as hardware, software, information, and communication and also their application for information entrepreneurship. Focusing and emphasizing on technology, entrepreneurship, and independent entrepreneurship, this research was done to determine the effect of the development of information and communication technology on entrepreneurial business in Mazandaran Province. After a comprehensive review of literature in development of technical infrastructure and telecommunication equipment, expansion in the use of information and communication technologies and technology parks, development in human resource training, government supportive plans and policies, were identified as information system variables related to independent entrepreneurship process. Data collection was done through information questionnaires distributed among members of statistical society which consisted of 120 managing directors and 182 independent entrepreneurs. The questionnaire reliability coefficient was 88%. The collected data after encoding were imported to SPSS and Lisrel software to be tested. Results indicated that development in human training resource is the most effective and the government supportive plans and policies have the lowest effect on independent entrepreneurship related to ICT Mazandaran province.
