Collaboration between universities and industries has attracted policy makers and researchers for multiple decades. In our country, both in academic and practice great attempts have been done to shape a dynamic and effective collaboration between universities and industries specially defense industries. It’s obvious that the appropriate collaboration between universities and defense industries has not been formed yet. The presented solutions and designed mechanisms for transition from obstacles and challenges are insufficient and ineffective. It seems that, the lack of efficiency and effectiveness of intervention solutions for exiting from current situation is related to superficiality of solutions and this problem is rooted in superficiality of analysis, challenges and mechanisms. This research aims to by applying Casual Layered Analysis (CLA) method and exploiting the opinions of some experts from universities and defense industries, increases the depth of analysis and respectively identifies current and desired situation and prescribes mechanisms in order to transition. Findings of this research encompass current and desired situation about collaboration of universities and defense industries and mechanisms to transition in four layers: Litany, Systemic Causes, Discourse/Worldview and Myths/Metaphors.

<span>The conventional method for prioritizing in Futures Studies, is a methodology of key technologies in which with the attractiveness and feasibility criteria and via the expertbased process, options with greater priority are distinguished from each other. What reveals a true need to invent a new method is uncertainty on the efficacy of these candidates in encountering the “alternative futures”. Therefore in regard to this important issue, in this article a new model is introduced for prioritizing. The main achievement of this research is a new paradigm called “Robust Prioritization” and the research methodology is a methodology of devising a new paradigm. Robust prioritization, is based on the concepts and methods of Future Studies. Robust prioritization, is the land of innovation and eventually leads tointroduction of a portfolio of options that can help the organizations under different circumstances. According to this model, the process of research is adjusted in terms of time and resources. In addition, robust prioritizationis a combination of qualitative and quantitative analysis. Therefore, by robust prioritization multiple and in the light of understandingthe future the value of different approaches and policies appear. Robust prioritization paradigm is consisted of nine major steps that has emerged and evolved by the participation of experts and stakeholders. The most important achievement of this rescarch is optimization and quality upgrade of this paradigm by implementing it practically in a strategic defense industry of anti-helicopter systems, reaching desired results.</span>

<span>Using appropriate models for portfolio management and determining profitable products combination by considering legal constraints and ensuring achieving governmental major objectives is a concern of managers of governmental and sovereign agencies. So far, a model that can include principal and comprehensive indicators to manage and determine the composition of the business portfolio in organizations -such as defense organization- hasn't been offered yet. The first step is developing and presenting effective indicators of the business portfolio, and then localizing the proposed criteria for the organizations with local governance, at the next step, the importance of each indicator is determined and the final list of variables is approved using statistical tests and multivariate decision-making procedures. Finally, using the GE-McKinsey matrix, the Defense Industries Organization business portfolio has been developed. The results of this study show that the strategic nature of the product and its dependence on imports are the organization managers’ most important criteria in business diversification.</span>

With intensifying competition and accelerating changes speed, the organizational ambidexterity influenced firm performance and by the simultaneously efforts of organizations to exploit and explore the opportunities available in a dynamic environment is obtained. Organizational ambidexterity as is defined as the ability to align with business demands and at the same time being consistent with environmental changes. Exploration and exploitation are two dimensions of organizational ambidexterity. In this paper, the effect of organizational ambidexterity on the performance in the two manufacturing and services industry has been investigated. Furthermore, moderating role of environmental dynamics in the relationship between the organizational ambidexterity and performance has been addressed. Research data has been collected in the manufacturing sector from the Rasht Industrial Zone and in the services sector from the retail stores in Rasht. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed by structural equation modeling and partial least squares algorithm. Findings show that in the two manufacturing and services industry organizational ambidexterity dimensions influence on performance. Moreover, environmental dynamics cannot moderate the relationship between organizational ambidexterity and performance in manufacturing companies; however relationship between exploration and performance at retail companies was moderated by environmental dynamics.
